Yosemite National Park, about two hours’ drive from San Francisco, was literally on fire. The valley filled with smoke mid-afternoon, rendering most photography difficult. Luckily, I had driven into the park at 4:00 AM and slept in the back of my rental SUV.
Carrying a large camera up mountains multiple times is not an advisable hiking strategy. With that said, the results were fantastic. Numerous squirrels attempted to sneak into my camera bag.
